Ovations for Prof. Uwe Theimer at his farewell!

On May 26, 2023, Prof. Uwe Theimer conducted the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra for the last time at the Concordia Ball in Vienna's City Hall. From 2002 to 2021 he was the second chief conductor of the orchestra after the founder Prof. Wolfgang Jelinek. He conducted the orchestra at numerous balls, undertook concert tours in several continents and recorded a large number of sound carriers. The ball audience in the Vienna City Hall thanked him shortly before the ball ended at 4 a.m. with long-lasting applause!

The Board of the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra thanks Prof. Uwe Theimer for his great and valuable work in the past years and wishes all the best for the future!
