The Managing Director of the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra was awarded the professional title of Professor by Federal President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen in a resolution dated October 6, 2022. The certification was made by the Federal Minister for Art and Culture, Werner Kogler. In the course of a festive event on December 6, 2022 in the Lower Austrian Landhaus, the Governor of Lower Austria Johanna Mikl-Leitner presented the Decree of Intimation to Herbert Fischerauer.
