The Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra Celebrated with Acclaimed Summer Night Concerts at the Classionata Solothurn Festival in Switzerland<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On 19 and 21 June 2026, the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, conducted by Andreas Sp\u00f6rri, presented an enchanting summer programme at the Classionata Festival, which he founded, together with vocal soloists Claudia Goebl (soprano) and Iurie Ciobanu (tenor).\nThe programme ranged from Franz von Supp\u00e9\u2019s overture Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna and Mendelssohn\u2019s A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream to Smetana\u2019s famous symphonic poem The Moldau, Strauss\u2019s charming Watch Duet and the passionate tenor showpiece Granada. Bernstein added a touch of Broadway flair, while dances by Ponchielli and works by Offenbach, Sienczynski and Sch\u00f6nherr brought Viennese melodies and stories vividly to life.\nThe finale reached an exhilarating crescendo, first on stage and then throughout the concert hall, as the audience responded with standing ovations and enthusiastic cheers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
